Advanced
Topics in LightTools: COM Macro
Programming, Photorealistic Rendering, and
Optimization
This 2-day short course provides
an introduction to several advanced features
of LightTools: the Optimization Module,
COM Macro Programming, and Photorealistic
Rendering. Creation of variables, constraints
and merit functions for optimization is demonstrated
using a variety of illumination systems. Excel
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is used
to automate tasks using the COM interface.
Photorealistic rendering is used to generate
high-quality images of sample LightTools models that appear to be digital photographs.
Familiarity with LightTools is assumed.
