Stuart David Named ORA's Director of Sales
February 2008 - Optical Research Associates (ORA®) has promoted Stuart David to Director of Sales for its software business.
Mr. David most recently was ORA's Sales Manager, responsible for overseeing the company’s CODE V® and LightTools® direct software sales activities primarily in North America. In his new role, Mr. David has responsibility for ORA software sales worldwide, which includes supporting ORA’s international distributor network spanning 27 countries.
"Stuart has been a substantial factor in the continued growth of our software products," said David Brown, ORA's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "His technical expertise and emphasis on customer success help our customers apply ORA's software innovations to solve their toughest optical engineering challenges. In his new role, Stuart will bring this expertise to more of our international business and distributor network."
Mr. David joined ORA in 1995 as a sales engineer and became Sales Manager in 2000. His background includes experience with the optical design and prototyping of illumination, imaging, alignment, and measuring systems for the micro-lithography industry, as well as optical characterization of flat-panel displays and the design of correlator devices for pattern recognition. He holds a B.S. degree in Optics from the University of Rochester, and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Electro-Optics from Tufts University.
