G. Groot Gregory Joins ORA as Technical Business Analyst
January 2007 - ORA is pleased to announce that G. Groot Gregory has joined ORA in the role of Technical Business Analyst. Gregory will take a leading role in defining and developing customer-based software requirements, application case studies, and technical specifications for developing ORA's CODE V and LightTools optical design software products.
Gregory has nearly 20 years of optical software design experience, including expertise with both imaging and illumination design programs. In 2006, he was named a Fellow of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), in recognition of his contributions to the field of optical software design. He serves as Associate Editor of the SPIE journal Optical Engineering , and is very active in the Optical Society of America (OSA). Additionally, he has published over 25 technical papers and articles on topics ranging from optical analysis to x-ray diagnostics. He holds several degrees from the University of Rochester , including an M.S. in Optics, a B.S. in Physics, and a B.A. in Mathematics.
