His experience spans a broad range of illumination design problems, including flat panel displays, automotive lighting and commercial/industrial/architectural lighting.  He has applied experience in all aspects of LCD flat panel design, from backlights and diffusers to brightness, contrast, color and night vision compatibility requirements. Has designed and tested a broad range of automotive optics, including forward lighting, signal lighting, and task lighting. Has maintained and operated a 100-foot light tunnel and written software to automate the design of automotive reflex parts. Most recently, developed a variety of software packages to facilitate the design of complex reflectors for indoor and outdoor lighting.
