CODE V Glass Catalog Updates

To update the CODE V glass catalog to the latest version, download the following files to the specified CODE V installation directory. You may wish to save the original files in another folder, in case you encounter any problems.

Note: The glass catalog updates in the following files are identical to those installed with CODE V 10.1 (to be released in July 2009). The backward compatibility of the GLASS.CAT file is not guaranteed; however, the latest GLASS.CAT file has been tested and verified for use in CODE V 10.0.

Note: CODE V should not be running when you copy the new GLASS.CAT file to the CODE V installation folder.

1. To the CODEV100\GLASS or CODEV101\GLASS folder:

This file contains the complete CODE V material database for homogeneous glasses.

GLASS.CAT (1.67 MB)

Note: If using this GLASS.CAT with the Cost Analysis feature (COS), note that the Schott prices have been updated per the 2009 price list. Both SLAB & STRIP prices are the same, and are for fine annealed glass. The contradictory note that appears in the COS output will be updated in CODE V 10.1.

2. To the CODEV100\MACRO or CODEV101\MACRO folder:

Extract the contents of this .zip file to the CODEV100\MACRO or CODEV101\MACRO folder.
glasscatalogs.zip (60 KB zipped, 184 KB extracted)

Contains the following glass catalog data files used by the GLASSFIT & VP_PLOT sample macros:

  • CDGM.DAT
  • CHANCE.DAT
  • CHINA.DAT
  • CORNFR.DAT
  • HIKARI.DAT
  • HOYA.DAT
  • OHARA.DAT
  • PILKINGTON.DAT
  • SCHOTT.DAT

In addition, the macro NEWGLASSPRV.SEQ is available from the Customer Support Web Site to define private catalog materials for any glass data not included in the GLASS.CAT file. It is found in the CODE V Support section, under Macro Downloads > CODE V Macros from ORA Tech Support.
