In this issue:
LightTools 7.3 Service Release 1 (SR1) Is Available for Download
We are pleased to announce that LightTools 7.3 SR1 is now available for download from the Synopsys SolvNet web site, https://solvnet.synopsys.com.
- If you have already installed LightTools 7.3, you do not need a new license file to run 7.3 SR1.
- If you have not yet installed LightTools 7.3, you can install 7.3 SR1, but you will need to obtain a new license file from SolvNet.
If you have not already registered on SolvNet, you will need to do so in order to download LightTools 7.3 SR1 and, if needed, obtain your license file. During the registration process, you must enter your company’s Site ID. If you do not know your Site ID, please email ora_support@synopsys.com and we will send it to you. For complete details about how to download LightTools and your license file, please refer to the document Obtaining CODE V and LightTools Software and License Keys.
When you register on SolvNet, be sure to subscribe to LightTools Release Alerts so that you are automatically notified when the latest download becomes available. When you sign up for LightTools Release Alerts, select Include patch notifications so that you are also notified when service releases are available.
Note: If you have licensed LightTools through one of our international distributors, please contact them directly to obtain instructions for downloading LightTools 7.3 SR1.
Issues Resolved in LightTools 7.3 SR1
LightTools 7.3 SR1 corrects the following customer-reported bugs:
- Fixes a problem that prevented the 32-bit version of LightTools 7.3 from starting under certain conditions. This problem occurred when certain security and anti-virus software was installed.
- Updates the SolidWorks Link Module to fix a bug that caused model linking to fail intermittently.
- Corrects a problem that prevented LightTools from acknowledging the specified location for the Temp folder.
We strongly encourage all LightTools 7.3 users to apply this patch.
