Tip: Quickly and Easily Incorporate CODE V Images into PowerPoint
Designs in CODE V often require iterations of analyses that result in many images or plots being produced. Incorporating these plots into PowerPoint for design presentations can require time-consuming copy, paste, and alignment operations.
To help make this process easier, a VBA macro is available on the Customer Support Portal that copies all images in CODE V tabbed output windows and pastes them into PowerPoint slides in a user-specified arrangement. To run the macro, first download and save "Copy CODE V Images to PPT.ppt" to your PC. Open the file, follow the instructions on the first slide, and watch your images fly into PowerPoint. This macro also makes it easy to update CODE V graphics in an existing presentation.
Note: Since this PowerPoint uses VBA to copy and paste CODE V images, you must have macros enabled before using it. See PowerPoint help for information about how to modify your security settings to enable macros.

Once you have incorporated CODE V plots into PowerPoint, you can customize them as described in a previous CODE V enews:
http://www.opticalres.com/E-News/cvnews07/cvnews1007.html
This enews provides useful guidelines for editing CODE V graphics, such as changing text, modifying line thicknesses and colors,
and even removing the white background so two plots can be overlaid for comparison.
CODE V Glass Catalog Updates Available for Download
Updates to the CODE V glass catalog, including the CDGM, Hoya, Schott, and Sumita manufacturers' catalogs, are now available for download from www.opticalres.com. In addition to download links, we have included more details about the glasses affected by this update and installation instructions.
Note: With their most recent updates, both Hoya and CDGM have modified how they report the Availability/Melt Frequency for their glasses. If you are a Glass Expert user, and are using materials from these catalogs, filtering based on availability/melt frequency may not work as expected. We are working on an update for Glass Expert that will be made available on the Customer Support Portal. CODE V User Group Meetings: Limited Space Still Available
There's still time to register for the annual CODE V User Group meetings! These free, one-day meetings will be held in Pasadena, CA (June 14), Mountain View, CA (June 16), and Rochester, NY (June 21).
